My next journey is Kilimanjaro, I am so grateful to be raising funds for animal allies, who are a registered NGO that help give animals a new leash on life through sterilization.
With my two dogs that have both been adopted through rehabilitation and rescue centers (Arc Animal rescue center and Wetnose animal rescue center), this cause is close to my heart.
I hope that through my passion for travel and adventure I can help give animals a new leash on life.
Myself and my friend Joni will be attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro on the 3rd of March 2018. I have not done a climb like this in my life, I hope that I can make it to the top.
We will be doing the Lemosho route which is 8 days in total and 79kms. We will be going up to 5895m above sea level, to give some comparison, Everest base camp is 5150m above sea level.
For the step junkies like myself that is 73 920 steps to the top and 104 280 steps in total.
