ELB Extreme Road Challenge Lesotho

Rainier Joubert is raising funds for St Vincent School for the Deaf

ELB Engineering will once again be hosting a unique fundraising event for the St Vincent School for the Deaf in an effort to capture the attention of the business community and public in order to raise awareness for the deaf community and to assist the school to raise the much needed funds required to meet the special needs of their learners.

A group of long distance runners race against a group of cyclists from Golden Gate, through Ficksburg into Lesotho, down the west side of Katse Dam, up the east side and finishing at Afriski.  There will be 5 runners in each relay team taking turns to reach their Lesotho destination whilst hoping to arrive ahead of the rival cyclists.

The rules are simple; the cyclists can only ride during daylight hours, but the runners can run non-stop through the night.
