SAVF Rethabile Klerksdorp CYCC was established in 1956. For the past 60 years successful services were rendered to children found to be in need of care, through Children’s Court procedures, in terms of the Children’s Act 38 of 2005.

The CYCC is registered to care for 150 children and the ages range from 2–18 years. SAVF Rethabile Klerksdorp CYCC is a 24 residential care facility that renders primary care, therapeutic services and developmental programmes to 150 children from the entire North West Province. Through intensive physical, social and psychological services the quality of life of the children, are improved.

The children are protected at the CYCC, whilst family reunification services are being rendered to the biological parents and other family members by family care organizations and Department of Social Development. The service is an ongoing service, since the children are constantly being admitted to our facility and applications are received on a monthly basis.

The CYCC are partially funded by Government. The facility hugely depends on donations from the community and fundraising.
