Charity 8 Challenge 2023

Carol Sacke is raising funds for CHOC

My story goes back to 2009. We were a happy family living in the midlands. On the 21 of January everything changed in a second as our happy, beautiful and outgoing 6 year old little girl, Kelli, was getting ready for her big day starting Grade 1 at Clifton school. Etched in my memory forever there was a spining ceiling scream, I ran down stairs to find Kelli our precious daughter sprawled on the floor... unresponsive.
I looked at the Radiologist in his eyes and said "it's grave isn't it,". He could not talk, I could feel his utter horror reverberating back to me.
Kelli had an inoperable brain tumor on her brain stem. She was going to fight the fight of her life and Kelli was going to live, we all had faith. 18 months later Kelli Died at 23h15 9th September 2010, her struggles were over.
To be honest it's with great difficulty and great pain I swim this 12.8km swim.
Crying in the dam as I swim, I've learnt to hide my tears and put on my strong face.
I need help to get to the other end.
With your help I can make it.
