Hello I am Karin Weeks
In 2014 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Cancer we think always happens to someone else never ME! The shock, the anger and then the acceptance. This was not going to beat me and so the long road started with a lumpectomy, chemotherapy and then the radiation. I endured the awful Red Devil with all its nasty side effects, including the hair loss. After many months of debilitating treatment, I had the fantastic news that I was all clear and at the moment God willing I am still clear of cancer.
The love and support of my husband, sons, family, and friends was what pulls me through those dark moments. The information received from CANSA and their support groups was also greatly appreciated.
if I can assist with fund raising to ensure there is more support and information shared by CANSA for early detection of cancer, then I have achieved a goal.
