When I was no longer to run due to a stress fracture in my tibia last year I needed to find other ways to stay fit... the natural choice was to return to my childhood roots and get back into the pool BUT I needed a challenge... Midmar 8Mile sounded like a good idea so I signed up!
The good news is that my leg has healed and I am back training for my 8th Comrades this year while also looking forward to achieving my very first Midmar 8Mile
I'm doing my Midmar 8Mile as a Charity Fundraiser for CANSA in memory of those dearest to me who have lost their fight to cancer. They may be gone, but they will never be forgotten --- Dad, Nicky, Valda, Shannon and Wendy --- this crazy adventure is to keep your memory alive while making sure that those still fighting cancer are able to get a little help from the small financial contribution I can raise by doing this!
