2023 marks the 50th anniversary of the Midmar Mile, but also marks my 7th year of swimming Midmar 8 mile.

Ever since I swam my first Midmar mile in 2012 and saw the 8 mile swimmers, I had the goal of swimming the 8 mile challenge.
When I was 15, I was given the opportunity to swim this prestigious challenge for charity  and ever since I have been hooked.  From day one, CHOC was the one charity that stood out for me.
Seeing the effects that cancer has had on my family  and how devastating it has been for family of close friends, the hunger to raise money to swim for this charity has always been there  

CHOC is a non profit organisation with the sole purpose of supporting  children and teenagers, and their families financially, emotionally and physically through their fight with cancer and other life threatening blood diseases.
