I have been swimming the Midmar Mile since I was 5 years old and have swum the race about 30 times. I have completed an 8 Mile for a different charity as well as an 8 Mile ocean swim. I have a huge love for swimming, and being able to raise money and swim for this incredible charity is such a privilege.
Losing adult family members and friends to cancer is heartbreaking, but to have a child suffering from cancer must be devastating, so if I can make a difference in some of those little lives I will. The money I raise will go towards buying these little heroes a few of their favourite items whether its lego, books, toys or whatever they love most, while going through the hardest time in their lives. To put a smile on their faces when they are feeling their worst will be very rewarding.
Any amount, big or small will go a long way for these little heroes and would be greatly appreciated.
