Please I kindly ask that as friend, colleague or family member to help me in making this possible. Ask me 3 or 4 years back I would have laughed at you even thinking of getting back into the water to swim let alone doing the 8-Mile challenge. But tragically I lost my lifetime long friend. He was the person that got me involved with swimming in our primary school years and many years after I would give anything to have the opportunity to do a swim with him again.  His passing gave me a new meaning to get involved in the sport once again and it is with a proud heart that we a group of 4 have decided to conquer the 8 Mile Midmar swim in February 2025. We each have to raise a minimum of R 10 000, this fully goes directly to our chosen charity.

My chosen charity has a great meaning for me and by raising the funds to enter will be a Blessing to each little child they attend to.
