Charity 8 Challenge 2025

Laura Goodman is raising funds for CHOC

Hi Support Herd,

I have decided to improve my aquatic ability and set myself a terrifying and exciting 6 month challenge to 'learn' how to swim. The Midmar Mile 8 Mile charity event has been in my sights for a while and the radar ping has become louder each year. So I've taken the plunge and full sent my commitment to this event in 2025. 8 Miles over two days, 6 months of training ahead and all I need is a little support.

My target for the event is to stay afloat for the full distance and to become a CHOC Cow by raising a minimum of R10 000 for CHOC (Childhood Cancer Foundation SA). This super cool organisation supports children (diagnosed with cancer or life-threatening blood disorders) and their families through childhood cancer treatment. Check out their website here: https://choc.org.za/. I'll ensure that the hard work is done at 6:30am training sessions and you ensure the easy part is done by clicking on the "Donate" button from the comfort of your couch. All moola raised will go a looooong way to support this cause.

This is the closest I'm going to get to becoming a mermaid (cow printed and all) and I'm excited to see my goal and dream being achieved in spectacular fashion.

Love Lau
