In February 2025, I will be taking on the Midmar Charity 8 Challenge - covering nearly 13kms over two days - in support of the Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa (CHOC).
My goal is to raise R10,000/$570/£430.
Cancer is a devasting illness for anyone to face, and I can't begin to imagine how children cope with such a cruel disease. Despite everything they go through - the pain, confusion, fear - so many of them still find a way to smile, to hope, and to dream of better days.
This swim is going to challenge me physically, mentally and emotionally, but it is nothing compared to what these brave children face every day. Knowing that each stroke will help give someone a chance is what will keep me going.
Please will you help me to reach my goal of R10,000/$570/£430? Every Rand/Dollar/Pound donated will help CHOC provide life-changing care, emotional support, and guidance to families who are going through the unimaginable.
