Hey folks,
Ever had the flu so bad you can't get out of bed for a week? Taking tons of pills just to ry and feel a little bit better. Now imagine being a child, suffering like that on a daily basis, not knowing when next you'll be able to return to sport, play outside with your friends, or just lead a normal life? And will it even be a full life? Childhood cancer sucks and unfortuantely is becomong pretty common.
I have 3 auto-immune diseases and take more medicine than I can count on my fingers and toes, and every 4 weeks, I have to have infusions, BUT I refuse to be a victim of my disease! I have the spirit of a fighter and lead as normal a life as I possibly can.
I have decided to swim the 8 Mile for CHOC, so that I can offer these children who are fighting a ruthless disease a better life.
Please get behind me and support this worthy cause. I will ahve to work extra hard out there with all my health issues, but I know that I will be able to do it for the sake of those children.
Please get behind me and let's kick Cancer's butt, especially when it affects helpless children.
Thank you in advance for your donations.
They are so appreciated.
Yours in swimming and fundraising,
Pam Jones
