Caren Naudé is raising funds for PinkDrive

All PinkDrive units travel to semi-urban and urban areas around South Africa with the aim of enabling all medically uninsured access to women’s health services. These services include free education on women’s health, free mammograms, free pap smears, free clinical examinations and how to do breast self-examinations. With the current service offering, PinkDrive’s aim is to include various other screening ( e.g. inoculations of babies, HIV/AIDS testing, TB screening and other general health services) to facilitate and promote early detection of various health areas. This offering ultimately transforms the Units into a Cancer Powerhouse that enables the PinkDrive to simultaneously tackle the two most prevalent female cancers – breast and cervical cancer. The additional services will remain free to all uninsured women at community health centres and secondary hospitals associated with local academic hospitals. The projects we are involved in are participatory, have building capacity, are sustainable and have measurable impact. Through the goodwill of many individuals and willing corporate organisations helping us , we in turn are helping the medically uninsured as we can with our services.
