E’Yako Green is a creative and innovative small business that is passionate about supporting sustainability in South Africa through the creation of local jobs and the upcycling of waste into functional products. Our core work is to assist other businesses, conferences and events to meet their sustainability targets by supplying green products made from end of campaign advertising billboards and banners.
E’Yako Green is excited to be a part of this fundraising drive and shall also provide the Wild Swimmers and safety crew with funky E’Yako Green bags.
“The Wild Swim takes place alongside one of the most beautiful and pristine part of the Wild Coast of South Africa. It also passes the controversial proposed mining site for titanium by an Australian company (MRC) on the land owned by the Xolobeni Community and which is also part of the Pondoland Marine Protected Area,” says E’Yako Green’s founder, Carey Moran. “Raising funds to promote eco-tourism is a longer term win-win for communities and nature rather than the destructive and extractive proposed mining of the area.”

The Wild Swim takes place along a 22km stretch of the Wild Coast earmarked for heavy minerals mining. It aims to raise funds for eco-tourism in the area, marine conservation and associated environmental journalism training.
