I work as a Paediatrician at Olivedale Clinic in Johannesburg. I see how cancer and serious blood disorders affect the lives of children and their families. Treatment courses are often long and uncomfortable. There may be difficulties for families to be close to a treatment centre, and CHOC helps to provide accommodation. CHOC also steps in where there are shortfalls in providing the correct treatment and equipment. CHOC creates awareness of the early warning signs of childhood cancer. I love to swim! To be part of this amazing organization through open water swimming is a great privilege. I can’t wait for 2020 which will be my 9th year at Midmar. Thank you for supporting CHOC.
