Charity 8 Challenge 2021

Marc Forrest is raising funds for Chad Le Clos Foundation

Please join me in raising funds for this honorable cause, by donating to my goal of swimming all 8 miles of the largest open water event in the world, The Midmar Mile.

The Friends of The Swimmers Trust maintains 3 core objectives. As a parent with 3 very active swimmers, Learn to Swim & Drowning prevention are key areas in ensuring that "Every Child is a Swimmer"

The 3 main objectives of the Swimmers Trust are:

Learn-to-Swim

The Trust promotes and provides Learn-to-Swim opportunities to communities on the North Coast of KZN.  Learn-to-Swim programs are in place namely: LIV-Village School, Maidstone Primary, Verulam Independent School, Imballito Hope College for Autism and Crawford Prep North Coast.

Recognition, Funding and Support to South African Elite Swimmers

South African Swimming Federation cannot financially support our swimmers and the Trust assists Elite swimmers with their travel costs to international competitions. Without this assistance our swimmers cannot afford international exposure.

Sport and Education

The Trust identifies talented swimmers within its programs by offering long term guidance and support which allows them a career in professional sport.

Friends of Swimmers Trust supports Kwa-Zulu Natal Biathlon. The Association encourages athletes from previously disadvantaged communities to get involved in both running and swimming in a safe and controlled environment.

All athletes, from all walks of life, have the opportunity to grow and develop together to become great individuals and team players

The Chad Le Clos Foundation will team up with Friends of Swimmers Trust at the aQuellé Midmar Mile 2020 and together will raise funds as charities of the exclusive 8 Mile Club, to advance the development of swimming, identify and support talent and give young athletes opportunity to have a career in sport.
