Charity 8 Challenge 2023

Jason William Gaskell is raising funds for Chad Le Clos Foundation

This year I am again embarking on the ambition of raising a minimum of R10,000 for the Chad le Clos Foundation through completing the Midmar 8 Mile Charity Challenge.

With a former Springbok swimmer as a mother, I've been swimming since before I could walk. Unfortunately my swimming career was not as prominent as hers or others in the family, I've always endevoured to continue in the "family sport" - and try to make a difference in society through this.

The Chad le Clos Foundation aims to create safe environments for all South Africans to enjoy our magnificent waterways, with the swimming survival skills and water safety education necessary to help develop safe behaviours and attitudes around water. It is a well-known fact that South Africa has exceptionally high drowning statistics. Together, we can reduce that number and keep our children and communities safe.
