Charity 8 Challenge 2023

Julian Taylor is raising funds for Chad Le Clos Foundation

The Chad Le Clos Foundation is a registered NPC and a Section 18 A approved entity by SA Revenue Services.  All and any monies donated will receive a S18A certificate permitting the donor to claim the full donation as a tax deduction.

The Learn to Float programme is aimed at the lower socio economic population.  It will employ previously unemployed women to facilitate the programme throughout South Africa commencing in areas most in need.  KZN/W Cape and E Cape have the highest drowning statistics due to the population size and proximity to stretches of water from rivers/dams/lakes/pools and the ocean.

If one includes the catastrophic floods of April 2022 where 500 people lost their lives and the current drowning of approximately 2 people per day SA has a poor record.  We aim to turn this around.

Why Learn to Float?  Floating is the very first and most critical step in Learning to SWim...due to the Floatation Jacket and the low cost of applying Learn to Float programmes we will be able to at least fast track those who cannot swim let alone float to be drowning-proofed far quicker than teaching a one-on-one programme to 60 million South Africans!!

$1 can save 1 life as it can purchase a flotation jacket that the child can keep with them and utilise when they arrive at a stretch of water.  The programme includes tuition and support for the Learn to Float Programme.

Just $1 can save a child from drowning think about that for just one moment. You cannot buy anything for $1 anymore but you could save a child from drowning.  Give generously!
