2023 started with a bang training for the Midmar 8 Mile Challenge this being my 3rd Challenge. What has spurred me on is that an old friend Paul Lanterme has taken the Challenge to swim all 8 miles at age 80.
Swimming for the Chad Le Clos Foundation that does so much for the sport of swimming starting with their National Water Wise Programme, Upskilling Swimmers, Donating Pool Equipment and Developing Upcoming Swimmers. Chad taught me a lot when we clandestinely trained together during the early stages of Covid. More recently Chad has shown great Resilience in recently winning back the World Championships for 2 Distances in Butterfly a world class achievement
