Hi everyone
I currently live in the beautiful City of Cape Town. I am an Architect, Adventure Swimmer and Lover of Life.
This will be my very first Midmar 8 Mile Challenge. I am very excited to take part and raise funds for a very worthy cause, SAVE THE RHINO CAMPAIGN !!!
I am currently swimming up a storm down here. I have just completed a cold water swim from Clifton 4th Beach to 3 Anchor Bay (5.3km). It was an amazing but very cold experience brrrrrrr.
I also compleated the ROBBEN ISLAND CROSSING this past December which I have dedicated to the RHINO cause.
The Midmar 8 Mile challenge will be an exciting challenge which involves swimming all 8 events ... which totals about 12.8km ... that's quite a long way.
All funds raised from the SAVE THE RHINO 8 Mile campaign will go towards Ezemvelo's eleven rhino reserves within the province of KwaZulu Natal.
Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park (HiP) is currently a priority rhino reserve. It is Ezemvelo's objective to capacitate all field ranger teams with anti-poaching equipment such as thermal night sights equipment, to assist in anti-poaching patrols at night time, whereby the majority of poaching incidents are currently occurring within HiP.
