I will be swimming 8 miles at the Midmar Mile in February 2018, in order to raise funds for CHOC. CHOC (The Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa) supports children with life-threatening cancer and blood disorders. Swimming has always been my passion, and I feel privileged to be part of this event to be able to do what I love, and at the same time raise money for a greater cause. Living with cancer is not something that I can begin to comprehend, but through watching a very close friend of mine struggle with cancer, I have learnt never to take my body for granted, and to appreciate everything that I am able to do. My aim is to raise R10 000 to contribute towards assisting the families of children facing a similar struggle to my friend. Please help me to reach my goal by donating on this site. The money will then be distributed to CHOC. Thank you.
