This is the first time I have the opportunity to take part in the 8-Mile event at Midmar Dam. It entails me swimming all 8 events that are planned throughout the weekend. More importantly, in taking part in this event I have the chance to raise money for CHOC. CHOC is the Childhood Cancer Foundation of South Africa, and they provide an amazing support network for parents with children who suffer from Cancer. They do amazing work, and any donation is always appreciated, and goes a long way. I hope to do my small part in raising awareness for this organisation by swimming 8 Miles on the 10th and 11th of February.
