I began my Midmar Mile journey when was 8 years old. In 2007 I set out to complete the 8 Miles while pregnant with my daughter. Unfortunately the medical team pulled me out after event 6 due to being concerned about hypothermia and then the cancellation of the final event due to extreme weather conditions. So I have yet to achieve my 8 Mile goal.
Being able to swim and raise money for CANSA, allows me to make a small contribution to this enormous challenge, which will assist with research, education and support.
My 8 Mile Swim is for my family and friends either diagnosed with or having given up the big "C" battle. Here is to "imagining the world without Cancer"
