The Midmar Mile has taught me so much in life. Having swam it as a young age, I had to fight to get to the finish line, but it showed me just how stong I can be and that perseverance does pay off. I have developed a great love for this event and swimming the 8 mile for the second time is a dream come true.
In 2018 I was able to raise funds for CANSA, and doing it once again is a great honour. CANSA is an amazing organisation, assisting in research, education and support to all those fighting the battle against cancer.
Many people close to me have fought the battle against cancer, some won this battle, some did not, and some are still fighting it. With your help, I will be able to make a small difference in these peoples lives by allowing CANSA to continue with their amazing work.
