I am BEYOND excited and privileged to be a part of the 2019 Midmar 8 Mile Club. This club embodies so many things that I am passionate about: working hard to accomplish something and to overcome challenges, doing work for charities and fundraising.
This year, I am part of the CHOC team. This amazing organisation does incredible work to provide support for children with cancer and other life-threatening blood disorders.
On a personal note, I have seen what the Big C does and how it affects not only the ones fighting the disease, but also their loved ones. I will be honouring all my friends and family that have had to live or are living with cancer, be it direct or indirect, with every stroke I swim on 9 and 10 February 2019.
