These days we all have a story of someone we know and love affected by this awful disease.
I am going to be joining in the '8 Mile' club on February 9 and 10, 2019 in order to raise a well-deserved sum of money towards a charity that works tirelessly to support those affected by cancer, to fund research into cancer and to promote awareness and early detection. For those who don't know, the Midmar Mile is a 1.6km open water swim held every February at Midmar Dam. There are 8 events run over the course of 2 days and I will be swimming all of them, 4 on Saturday and 4 on Sunday, covering a total distance of 12.8km.
