I started open water swimming when I was 8 years old and I have loved it ever since. Ever since my first Midmar in 2013 I have dreamed of doing 8 miles. And my dream has finally come true. I can’t believe that I will be swimming 8 miles in 2019 for Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife trust. I have swum a total of 33 miles at Midmar and for the past 3 years I have swum 7 miles at each Midmar. I have always loved being in nature surrounded by the calming sounds and open water swimming has brought me closer to this.
