Midmar 2019

Candice Hepburn is raising funds for Mandeville Disability Swimming

What an amazing experience to swim my first 8 Mile Club charity drive this year in February 2018, not only for my own learning and personal achievement, I had the opportunity to meet some amazing, inspirational swimmers who benefit from the charity.

I am once again raising funds for Mandeville Disability Swimming (MDS) as part of the 2019 Midmar 8 Mile Club.

MDS has as its primary objective the development of swimming in Central Gauteng’s disability communities at all levels.

With a grass-roots focus on schools for children with a physical disability, mainly in black communities, MDS supports programs for:

  1. Learn to SwimTM - Every person who learns to swim represents a life potentially saved
  2. Swimming talent identification and development
  3. Preparation of elite swimmers for SA Nationals, World Championships and Paralympics

Your donation will go a long way to supporting the MDS  objectives.

The big plus is that I am a registered Learn to Swim Teacher in Gauteng, this is my passion, I live and breathe swimming.
