Cancer affects us all, I have lost 3 grandparents to it and my dad has been bravely fighting it for the past three years.

In your twenties you dont expect to get told "your cancer counts are high, there's a 90% chance this is cancer". Well thats what I was told this year, I was lucky though, they caught and removed the cancer cells just in time. However, not everyone is as fortunate as I was.

This is why I will be swimming 8 miles for Pink Drive again this year. It will be my 7th year swimming 8 miles at The aQuelle Midmar Mile 2019. Not for myself, but for the millions of others who need facilities like Pink Drive offers in order for cancer to be dectected and hopefully early!

My goal is to raise R12 000, but my ultimate goal would be to double that!
