I've always been impressed by the dedicated folk that tackle the Midmar 8 Mile for charity.
I decided to swim the 8 Mile after being inspired by my friend Chad Gifford (a bi-lateral amputee paraplegic who thrives on various swimming challenges), who completed 5 x 8 miles and has raised R000's for charity. If Chad can do this for charity then so should I!
Chad is taking on the 16 Mile in 2019 and I recommend that folk donate and support him.
I'm delighted to have been selected to swim on behalf of the Ezemvelo KNZ Wildlife. At work we support the EWT and this would be an extension of that project.
