In 2019 I will once again be getting into the water of Midmar dam to swim 8 Miles, and give it my all to raise funds for a charity that is close to my heart. For 6 of my previous 7 swims I have raised funds for CHOC, or other cancer related organisations.

As a cancer survivor, I know just how much organisation like this do for not on cancer patients and survivors, but also for their families. Without organisations like this, there would be no support, and in many cases treatment for the people who need it most. Not only during treatment, but after treatment too.

I have personally visited CHOC houses in the area, and can vouch for the amazing work the people do there. From the admin staff, all the way through to the passion of the people working with the children and their families on a daily basis.
