Swimming gives me life, I love it! But for those that can’t swim, it takes their life. It saddens me but at the same time inspires me to yet again swim 8 Miles at the annual Midmar Mile weekend in February 2020.
I’ll be swimming for The Friends of Swimmers Trust again... a wonderful team that teaches kids how to swim. To prevent drownings. To let them love water as much as I do!
This will be my 8th x 8 Mile swim and by the end of the weekend I’ll have swum across the beautiful dam 86 times since my first time in 1999.
The weekend was always something I did with my late Dad... now it’s something I’ll do for my Dad until I physically can’t.
