We are so pleased to announce that the first major event on our platform is live! The Midmar Mile has joined us to help their 8 Mile Club and 16 Mile Club swimmers raise funds for the various charities connected to this annual open water swimming event.

The Midmar Mile is the world's largest open water swim and attracts over 12,000 people each year. Since 2004 a number of swimmers have also joined the 8 Mile Club where they swim each of the 8 events over the weekend to raise as much money as they can for charity. 2016 saw the first of the 16 Mile Club events take place, where the swimmers also swam back to the start in time for the next event.

In 2017 the 8 Milers and 16 Milers are expected to raise around R2m, and we are so excited that they'll be doing it on our site. As we pledged, we will not be taking any fees out of the donations, and we will hand over 100% of the donations to Midmar Mile.
